The class visited the WLDS/WEAI radio station today where co-owner and Sales Manager, Mark Whalen, spoke to the students about the history of the station. He told the students how the station’s main objective is to get local news and events to listeners in their four county area of Scott, Cass, Morgan and Greene Counties and discussed the target markets of both stations. Mark asked the students about their individual businesses and to whom they were marketing. He discussed with the class the “who, what, why, when and where” of their businesses and from there the students wrote a radio ad for their Trade Show. Students were interviewed live on air and were able to record their Trade Show advertisement. They all did a great job!
