Jodi Killian, Sydney McClenning, and Katie Meldrum of Zoetis in White Hall visited class to talk about what Zoetis does.
Zoetis, in White Hall, employees 40 people and makes cattle vaccines. The White Hall location has a rich history, beginning as Gregory Farms in 1913. It later transitioned to Beecher Labs, then became part of Pfizer, and eventually evolved into Zoetis, focusing on animal health products. This evolution reflects significant changes in the agricultural and pharmaceutical industries over the past century.
Zoetis is the world’s leading animal health company. Our name comes from “Zoe,” the Greek word for life. The use of science to sustain life is at the foundation of everything we do. Zoetis discovers, develops, manufactures and commercializes vaccines, medicines, diagnostics and other technologies for companion animals and livestock. It is a Fortune 500 company traded on the NYSE (ZTS) that generated $8.5 billion in revenue in 2023.
Thank you to Jodi, Sydney, and Katie for their time! And for the virtual reality lab simulation!
